Man with a Van Service Movers NZ is a well-known and respected furniture removals company providing professional, reliable moving and packing services to residential and business clients.

We registered as a NZ company in April 2017. Prior to that we operated as a sole trader for 1 year, meaning we are celebrating our 10th year in business in April 2026 !

Over the last 10 years we have continued to grow and develop our service and scope. From our earliest days operating as Tauranga Man with a Van, we have expanded into a fully-fledged well-established mid-sized furniture removals / relocations company operating a fleet of 4-5 moving trucks at any one time, sized between 19 and 55 cubic metres along with 1-2 cargo vans.

Our service area has expanded to now provide local moving from 3 bases as follows:

  • In and around Tauranga and Western BOP from our Judea, Tauranga base
  • Within Hamilton City and across the Waikato from our Pukehata, Hamilton base
  • And also across the Waikato region from our Te Poi, Waikato base.

Our nationwide NZ movers provide expert, affordable and reliable removals services across all areas of New Zealand.

We were relocating back to Cambridge after three years overseas, with our household contents kept in storage locally. Leading up to our move, Dave was very helpful via email, always answering in a responsive manner despite the different time zones. On the day, the moving guys were terrific - lovely and hardworking, very professional. They were so kind and friendly, and made a stressful day a lot better. We were very grateful for the excellent service from start to finish - and good value too! Highly recommended.

Using Dave and team is very easy. The moving team are flexible and communicate at the pick up and drop off. Second time I have used them and would highly recommend.

Would highly recommend using Man with a van! They’ve been super helpful in moving the items from my container to the house in quick and efficient manner. Making a massive job too big for me to handle, effortless. Thanks so much. The boys picked up and move heavy items in no time and did all of this with a smile. Cannot say thank you enough!! Communication was quick and easy in organising the move.

My Sister & I had a truly exceptional service from Dave & his crew. From the start of our first enquiry to the final stage where Family possessions were relocated from Bay of Plenty to Auckland, we were kept informed on a regular basis as to the stage of play. The delivery crew were fantastic & very quick with the unloading of the belongings @ the Auckland end. We were
very happy with the cost of entire move considering the quotes we had initially received from other moving companies. Hands on heart, we would happily recommend Dave & his crew to everyone considering any moving or transport ventures. We had several Fragile pieces & they were all handled & delivered intact.
